Mahaney and the other men do a great job of keeping each chapter short and to the point while sharing a deep and balanced view of the topic at hand. The authors do a nice job of helping readers think more clearly and biblically about issues like music, dress, possessions, etc.

The authors of Worldliness have managed to weave three themes through this book that successfully avoid the theological shortcuts that most authors take when discussing such a difficult topic. Every believer worlcliness read this book!

It is certainly not guilty of empty and meaningless repetition as so many larger works can be. This book is a call to discernment both to the seductive method of worldliness and to the drift tendency of the human heart. The third and major theme of the book is that worldliness has been conquered at the cross of Christ.
So, to the Christians, even if you don’t read this book He warns against the temptation to see anyone with stricter standards as us as legalistic while seeing anyone with more lenient standards as worldly.
The chapters were written by worldlineess few different authors, and one of the chapters I found almost unreadable.
The lack of clarity between the church and the world has undercut our testimony for Christ and undermined our witness against sin. Which, if you have access to the internet, probably includes you.

It addressed the issue of worldliness with an aggressive cross-centered humility that is often lacking when issues of media, music, possessions, and clothing arise.

In any case, Purswell paints a glorious picture of God’s covenant dealings with all the earth. It was smooth and clear and the narration was enjoyable to listen to.

It is not a question of external activities. It had very little application to men beyond stating that this is an issue for pastors and fathers to consider.
